Daily affirmations mean different things to different people. The meaning of Bryan Danielson’s is pretty simple.
Bryan Danielson is sex. Not the thoughts of Inside The Ropes, but the American Dragon himself.
This revelation from Danielson came during an appearance on The Bellas Podcast where he recently joined his wife Brie. On the show, Brie and sister Nikki usually end with a daily affirmation. When asked to do the same, Danielson took a more unconventional approach to the question declaring “I am sex.”
When questioned by Brie over whether he said that when he woke up in the morning, the star admitted that he didn’t, but he could.
Danielson then moved on to a more serious affirmation which involves being a better listener for both his wife and their two children. Despite this, Brie praised the AEW star for being a really good listener already.
“You’ve always been a really good listener. That’s great that you want to be an even better one. That’s good. I think we go with that. Everyone, this week, be a better listener. I feel like when people meet you and talk to you, this goes for my family to strangers to friends, they are always blown away when they have a conversation. They’re like, ‘Woah, this is the first time I realized that someone was really listening to me and I was the only person in the room.’
Yeah, Bryan is like that with everyone. It means a lot to people. It makes people feel like what they’re saying has value, they feel important, and makes them open up more. It’s a really good characteristic that you have. That’s what we’re going to leave everyone with. Be a little more like Bryan. Don’t think about faking your own death, but be a better listener because it’ll make people around feel really good.”
The reference to faking your own death refers to an earlier part of the show where Danielson said that he would like to go hiking for six months by himself. He explained that he would have to fake his own death to make it possible, adding that he wouldn’t tell Brie because she would spoil it, but he would tell their kids.
“I thought about faking my own death for a long time because I’m not sure you could do it now. I think I could. I have a couple of devious plans,”
Bryan Danielson has been out of action since Double or Nothing following an undisclosed injury, thought to be concussion related. At time of writing there’s no news on when he will be able to return to the ring.
