Bryan Danielson Apparently Injured

AEW President Tony Khan has seemingly confirmed that Bryan Danielson is injured after suffering a freak accident on Dynamite.

Ahead of AEW Dynamite airing live from Las Vegas, company President Tony Khan took to social media to hype the show and seemingly confirmed that Bryan Danielson is injured:

TONIGHT on #AEWDynamiteat the 3-Year Anniversary of #AEW‘s Debut, LIVE @ 8pm ET/7pm ET on TBS, with BCC’s @bryandanielsoninjured last week, @JonMoxleywill team with @MadKing1981for the 1st time since September vs #PrivateParty, with @IAmJericho+ @RealKingRegalon commentary!”

The May 20th edition of Rampage went off the air as a wild brawl broke out between Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz and the Jericho Appreciation Society as tensions between the teams reached boiling point.

As the fighting continued, Danielson suffered a bizarre accident as his leg fell between the ring and the entrance ramp, trapping him in place.

The star was trapped for up to ten minutes before he was eventually freed. Once back on his feet, the star limped backstage but was not believed to be seriously injured. That could of course be the case with Khan’s reference merely to being a storyline injured suffered by Danielson.

Tony Khan addressed the incident on Twitter, saying that it shows why, outside of sanctioned matches, fighting is “dangerous and discouraged”:

“After the #AEWRampage main event, in a brawl @IAmJericho & JAS vs BCC/Kingston/Santana/Ortiz, @bryandanielson’s foot got trapped between the ring & ramp. This is why fighting after the bell is dangerous & discouraged.“

Bryan Danielson is at this time still advertised to be part of the Anarchy In The Arena match that will take place at Double Or Nothing on Sunday, May 29th.
