Bryan Danielson has commented on the recent meeting between Shane McMahon and Tony Khan.
On Wednesday, July 31st, a photo leaked that saw Shane McMahon and Tony Khan in a meeting room in Arlington, Texas following on from previous rumours that McMahon was interested in joining the company.
During his time in WWE, Danielson was linked with McMahon as the two were authority figures on SmackDown and teamed together for Danielson’s comeback match at WrestleMania 34. When asked if there were any issues between himself and McMahon by Gorilla Position, Danielson responded that there were no issues with McMahon or anyone:
“I’m open to working with anybody. I don’t have beef with anybody. 100%.”
On top of being an active performer in All Elite Wrestling, Danielson also has a number of backstage roles in the promotion. When asked about when he knew about the meeting, Danielson pointed out that he was told after the photo became public:
“One, if I knew, I would not tell you. Two, I don’t know [laughs]. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, ‘I didn’t want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon.’ I didn’t say this, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. The picture is everywhere.’ To be fair, I’m not aware of a lot of things because I don’t go on Twitter or social media.”
