Tony Khan has confirmed that Bryan Danielson will challenge Hangman Adam Page at Winter Is Coming and the AEW World Championship will be on the line.
The highly anticipated showdown between AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and Bryan Danielson will take place on December 15th.
Adam Page won the World Championship at AEW Full Gear defeating long-reigning champion Kenny Omega. The bout marked the culmination of a journey which had encompassed friendship, rivalry, personal doubt and many long years.
At the same event, Danielson became number one contender for AEW’s top prize after defeating Miro in the AEW World Title Elimination Tournament. The win came after the former WWE Superstar had already defeated Eddie Kingston and Dustin Rhodes in the earlier rounds.

Bryan Danielson signed with AEW in September making his debut at All Out. He has since remained undefeated rising up the rankings. After setting his sights on Adam Page, Danielson said he was going to kick in the heads of The Dark Order until he got to the champion.
In the weeks that followed he defeated Evil Uno, kicked out two of Colt Cabana’s teeth and most recently forced Alan Angels to submit. After seeing off the challenge of Angels, Danielson taunted Page who had been sitting in on commentary, saying that he planned to take his title in Dallas, Texas in two weeks.
A fired up Hangman then proceeded to make his way to the ring but was stopped by John Silver, who reminded him that he and the American Dragon can’t touch before their match. As a result, Silver ran to the ring to confront Danielson, but the former WWE Champion slid out of the ring, continuing to taunt Hangman, getting in his face as he left.
