Bronson Reed has won the Gauntlet Eliminator Match earning himself a shot at Johnny Gargano’s NXT North American Championship.
Reed saw off ‘Swerve’ Scott at the end of a gruelling contest with the Tsunami to finally claim victory.
Swerve attacked Leon Ruff before he had even made it to the ring, and that set the tone for a terrifically hard-hitting contest. Reed entered the match at number three, but not before Ruff hit an impressive springboard Cutter using the announce table for leverage on Swerve.

Cameron Grimes arrived next and quickly set about forming an alliance with Swerve, paying him off to get him onside. Ruff was then eliminated by his rival Swerve leaving Dexter Lumis to enter and clean house, before a stare down with Reed brought the NXT crowd to their feet.
LA Knight cockily entered last, running down everyone on the microphone as his made his way to the ring. Knight sneakily rolled up Lumis as he was trying to force Grimes to submit, but Knight himself was swiftly eliminated leaving Reed, Grimes and Swerve as the final three.
Grimes was eliminated by Swerve via a rollup and a handful of tights, leaving Bronson Reed and Swerve Scott to battle to the finish.
Swerve appeared to have Reed beaten on several occasions but the Colossus refused to stay down. Bronson Reed finally managed to plant Swerve to the canvas before hitting his devastating Tsunami to pick up the win.
Following his victory, Bronson Reed will now advance to night two of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver to face North American Champion Johnny Gargano.
Gargano, a former NXT Champion, has held the title since defeating Damian Priest and Leon Ruff at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in December.
