Whenever Brock Lesnar steps inside the squared circle it’s always a big deal, which is exactly why Bronson Reed wants a chance to go one on one with the Beast Incarnate.

Following his recent NXT North American Title victory over Johnny Gargano, Reed sat down with the Metro to discuss his wrestling fandom and what comes next.

Discussing dream match ups, Reed said that he would love to test himself against Brock Lesnar.

“I would love to do that! He’s someone that, whenever he’s involved he’s such an attraction! Any match he’s in, you just don’t really know what he’s gonna do. I’d love to do it.”

It’s been a long road for Reed to not only make it to WWE but also claim his most recent success. Reflecting on his journey, the Aussie recalled watching WrestleMania with his uncle before explaining that he’s still just a fan at heart.

“As a kid, my uncle was a huge wrestling fan – big Bret Hart fan. He used to go to a local video store, rent WrestleMania, SummerSlam – everything as it came out. ‘So, I’d be watching with him, so as far back as I can remember, I’ve been watching wrestling.”

“I’m still a student of the game. I know some people will get “grizzled” and don’t really wanna watch the product or watch other wrestling. I’m such a fan that I continue to watch as much stuff as I can.”

Reed continued, explaining how his wife has been by his side throughout his road to WWE, and that simply getting there was a huge achievement.

“My wife was always someone that stood by my side and encouraged me to keep chasing the dream,”

‘Even getting here was a big accomplishment for me personally, but then to have the faith of people like Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and then to become a champion – as a wrestling fan as a kid, it means a lot.”

Despite his enthusiasm, Bronson Reed might have to wait a little while for his clash with Lesnar. The Beast hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since being defeated by Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. At time of writing there is no word on when Lesnar may return.

Back on NXT, Reed was confronted by Santos Escobar on the most recent episode of the black and gold brand. After Reed challenged anyone to step up to him, Escobar arrived declaring his intention to win the North American Title.
