Former NXT star Bronson Reed has revealed that he is in talks with “major promotions” and gave his thoughts on some possible destinations.
Reed was with NXT from 2019 until 2021. During his time in the company, he had several memorable feuds, most notably with Johnny Gargano, the man he defeated to win his only title in the company, the NXT North American Championship. He would go on to hold the belt for 42 days. Rock was released from NXT, along with several other members of the roster, on August 6th, 2021.
Reed’s final match in NXT was a losing effort against Adam Cole on June 21st, 2021, and since then he has not been seen in a wrestling ring. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, he hinted at several possible promotions he could be headed to, including AEW and IMPACT Wrestling. He also said he would be interested in working more in Japan.
“I’m in talks with the major promotions.I can’t say any which way that I’m leaning towards. I do think that what I do offer, I don’t think AEW really has that. IMPACT do have some bigger talent, but no one that is really my mold. I think it’d fit in IMPACT or AEW. I am a huge fan and I did wrestle in Japan. That is somewhere I would like to work again. Granted, visa and immigration, it’s a little difficult at the moment. For me, at the moment, it’s working on my immigration status and hopefully, in the next few weeks I’ll have an answer for the fans. There are options.”
Recently, Reed spoke at length on his podcast, JONAHDROME, about his last few weeks in WWE and why he believes the reason he was released from his contract was about his body image.
