Bron Breakker Tips Hat To Shawn Michaels Ahead Of NXT In Your House

Bron Breakker & Shawn Michaels

Ahead of his latest NXT Championship defence, Bron Breakker has heaped praise in Shawn Michaels, commenting that working for him is a “wonderful experience.”

At NXT In Your House, Bron Breakker will defend his prized NXT Championship against Joe Gacy. The bout also features the added stipulation that if Breakker loses his cool and gets disqualified, he will lose the title.

From making his first ever WWE appearance on the first episode of NXT 2.0 back in September, Bron Breakker has become the figurehead for the sports entertainment giant’s third brand. The second-generation star quickly moved the top of the card and currently stands as a two-time NXT Champion.

Since NXT 2.0 came into being, the show has reverted to being more of a developmental promotion featuring lots of young performers just starting out in the industry, with Breakker becoming the poster-boy for the switch.

Speaking to Jim Varsallone ahead of his clash with Gacy, Breakker expressed his excitement at appearing on the new youthful NXT.

“Yeah, it’s a ton of fun,” he said about being part of the brand. “We have so much talent down here … I love NXT 2.0 and what we’re doing, I think we are a fantastic show and we are on our way to being elite, and I am just so thankful to be a part of that and have the opportunity to work with everybody.”

During the conversation, Breakker also heaped praise on WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT backstage leader Shawn Michaels. The Heartbreak Kid picked up the NXT reigns after Triple H was forced to take time off due to serious health issues. The NXT Champion praised Michaels as “wonderful to work for.”

“I love Shawn Michaels, man, he is wonderful to work for, just absolutely fantastic. I cannot say enough good things, it has been such a wonderful experience getting to work for him,”

Although Triple H stepped back from his NXT duties just as Breakker began his on-screen rise, the son of Rick Steiner said that he “thinks the world” of The Game.

Triple H has recently returned to a full-time role backstage, although his duties are said to now be dramatically different to when he left.
