During what was already a chaotic night at WWE Extreme Rules, two potential NXT call-ups were also teased, as Bron Breakker and Nikkita Lyons were shown at ringside.
Bron Breakker and Nikkita Lyons may soon be main roster WWE Superstars.
Shown at ringside, the two NXT prospects were displayed on-screen prior to Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Matt Riddle’s Fight Pit match, and Bianca Belair and Bayley’s Ladder match, respectively. They were referenced to as NXT Superstars and had the NXT-branded lower third graphics, indicating they’re still officially in NXT – for now.

There’s no current word on what, if anything, WWE is planning for the NXT stars. Previous examples of NXT performers coming to the main roster for a brief spell have included Grayson Waller appearing on Monday Night Raw, leading towards an NXT bout vs. AJ Styles.
Bron Breakker has prior experience on the main roster. On the post-WrestleMania 38 Raw, he captured his second NXT Championship from Dolph Ziggler, having previously lost to ‘The Showoff’ at NXT Stand And Deliver two days prior. In March, meanwhile, he and Tommaso Ciampa were victorious over Ziggler and Robert Roode.
As for Nikkita Lyons, this was her first time on any main roster programming, though she had been penned for the Women’s Tag Team Championships tournament. A lack of vaccination was reportedly the reason for her and Zoey Stark’s removal from the tournament.
