The tribute shirt for the late Jon ‘Brodie Lee’ Huber has shattered the record for most shirts sold within a twenty four hour period on Pro Wrestling Tees.
Bearing an image of Huber as Brodie Lee with the touching sentiment, ‘Exalted In Heaven’, below, the shirt has beaten that of Sting which held the previous record when ‘The Icon’ made his AEW debut on December 2.
AEW created the garment to coincide with their marvelous AEW Dynamite: Celebration of Life episode on December 30, with all proceeds going to the Huber family. Pro Wrestling Tees stated that it took just two hours for the shirt to smash record sales:
“Less than 30 days after Sting beat our record for most shirts sold within 24 hours. Mr. Brodie Lee broke that record before the end of Dynamite after less than 2 hours. All proceed from this shirt go to benefit the Huber Family. @shopaew @allelitewrestling @brodielee.”
Up until now… @orangecassidy had the highest selling shirt of 2020 on https://t.co/FhcfxY9Whc. He was just dethroned in just under 4 hrs after the release of this tribute shirt. The highest selling shirt of 2020 will go to Mr. Brodie Lee. 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/vDy1cE7RfE

To go along with the record sales, the website also noted that purchases of Dark Order merchandise rose and currently occupy ten of the fifteen spots of the top selling items of the week.
On December 30, AEW paid tribute to their fallen ‘Exalted One’ with a special show in his honour. During it’s existence, many AEW talent – including a debuting Erick Rowan – paid homage to their fallen friend.
Jon ‘Brodie Lee’ Huber passed away on December 26 after a battle with a non-COVID 19 related lung issue.
