According to a post from Amanda Huber’s Instagram account, Brodie Lee Jr. prefers AEW to Disney World!
Ever since the passing of his father in December 2020, Brodie Lee Jr. has been featured regularly on AEW programming. Whether it’s footage of him watching from ringside, being featured on social media having impromptu wrestling matches with people from all over the wrestling world or being physically involved in angles at television tapings, Brodie Lee’s oldest son has seen his profile rise significantly, to the point where AEW owner Tony Khan signed him to a contract with the company.
It seems that Brodie Lee Jr. is such a fan of AEW that he often stays at tapings for hours longer than other members of the company do. Tony Schiavone was recently quoted as saying that:
“When we do TV tapings now, we will have a live show or a taped show, Dynamite, and then we will have sometimes 13 dark matches. We are there until 2 am sometimes. I was sitting back there with Amanda when Dark was going on and she said, ‘I’m dead tired. I need to get back and get some sleep but he (Brodie Jr) just loves this so much, I’m going to wait.’ So, she waits until it is all over and he gets involved with the guys and sits in the gorilla position.”
AEW appear to have gone above and beyond when it comes to looking after Brodie Lee’s family and friends since the onset of his illness and eventual passing. The fact that Lee’s son prefers the tight-knit, communal atmosphere at the AEW tapings over going to Disney World is hardly surprising. The images featured in Amanda Huber’s Instagram post paint a picture of a fun and friendly environment, where all the members of AEW’s lockerroom and staff have welcomed the family into the company.
