Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return Expected Soon

Brock Lesnar returns to WWE

Brock Lesnar is expected to return to WWE soon.

Following his exclusion from everything WWE last year in 2024, after getting involved in the Vince McMahon sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit, Lesnar returned earlier this year at SummerSlam 2025.

After Cody Rhodes defeated Cena at SummerSlam 2025, Lesnar returned to a thunderous crowd. Receiving a shocking ovation from the crowd, Lesnar dropped Cena with his finisher before walking out.

Now expected to face him at WrestlePalooza, his status for tomorrow’s (September 5th) SmackDown has now been updated. In a recent report by Fightful Select, it was noted that Lesnar is expected to be in Chicago tomorrow and could be on SmackDown as well.

Fightful Select also noted that with Lesnar set to travel to Chicago and sources in WWE also discussed that it was a possibility for The Beast Incarnate to show up on the blue brand. Internal sources in WWE also noted that Lesnar was actually scheduled to be a part of SmackDown tomorrow.

As per WrestleVotes, it’s slated to be John Cena’s last SmackDown, and the Stamford-based promotion has intentionally hoped to load up the upcoming episode.

Prior To His Return, Brock Lesnar Was Claimed To Be On WWE’s ‘Banned List’ By UFC Veteran

Earlier this year, during an interview on the Mighty podcast with Demetrious Johnson before SummerSlam 2025, UFC legend Daniel Cormier opened up on Lesnar’s WWE status and claimed him to be on the promotion’s ‘banned list’.

Brock is on the banned list right now. Brock got into so much trouble. You know what Brock did? I ain’t telling you on-air what Brock did. Brock is in so much trouble.”

Brock played us. Brock played us, bro. Brock came with the idea, he always has an open door because he is such a big star. I was on a Brock Lesnar card at UFC 200. I fought Anderson [Silva]. Sold 1.4 million pay-per-views. Brock actually came and WWE paid him more to stay.

They paid him more to stay. We danced the dance for a while. It could have been Brock and I when I fought Derrick Lewis in New York. They paid him so much to stay. He was such a big star there that he could make money to go do that and do nothing but suplex, or fight me in an Octagon and I’m going to try and kill him. He made the best choice.”
