Brock Lesnar’s Next WWE Appearance Spoiled?

By Sondra Ruth. Published 20th January 2023.
Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen in WWE since he defeated Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel back in November.

Prior to their bout, Lesnar made his surprise return for the first time since his SummerSlam defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns when he interrupted Bobby Lashley on the October 10th seasons premiere of WWE Raw, delivering multiple F5’s to the then-United States Champion before locking in the Kimura.

Lesnar’s attack left Lashley too injured to apply the Hurt Lock during his match with Seth Rollins immediately afterward, and Rollins was able to unseat Lashley as champion following multiple Stomps.

The next week, Lashley spoke in the ring and angrily called out Lesnar, which led to the two of them brawling at the beginning of the show, and on the October 31st episode, their animosity was so great that Chief Content Officer Triple H confronted them to demand they stop brawling. The feud came to a head at WWE Crown Jewel, where Lesnar emerged victorious.

Brock Lesnar Is On The UK DVD Cover For WWE Raw is XXX

While many fans have expected an appearance from Lesnar at the upcoming Royal Rumble in San Antonio, WWEDVD.co.uk provides a major clue that he may be returning to television ahead of the January 28th premium live event.

Though he hasn’t been announced for the show, Brock Lesnar is included on the DVD cover for the January 23 Raw is XXX show alongside numerous other performers and legends. Hulk Hogan is also included on the cover, and while he has yet to be announced, Ric Flair recently indicated that Hogan will be part of the show.

Lesnar’s old foe Bobby Lashley is scheduled to face Austin Theory for the United States Championship on Monday, so it remains to be seen if Lesnar will renew that rivalry or if his appearance will be in a different capacity.

Legends officially announced for the WWE Raw 30th anniversary special include:

  • Ric Flair
  • Kurt Angle
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Ron Simmons
  • Road Dogg
  • Sean Waltman
  • Teddy Long
  • Jerry Lawler
  • The Bella Twins
  • The Undertaker

The show will also feature a huge Cage Match between Bayley and Becky Lynch. The Man laid down the challenge to her rival on the January 16th episode of the show after the pair traded insults in the ring.

“Every generation” of The Bloodline will be in attendance for a special ‘Acknowledgement Ceremony’ for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. It will be a busy night for The Usos as they will be defending their Raw Tag Team Titles against The Judgment Day.

One star who now won’t be on the show is Ronda Rousey. After previously being advertised she has seemingly been pulled from the event.

The first episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was broadcast on January 11th 1993, replacing Prime Time Wrestling which had been running for eight years.
