Brock Lesnar’s former rival admits he was scared of The Beast Incarnate the first time they threw down in the ring. He called the former UFC mauler an “animal” from “another planet.” And that’s why he believes John Cena is in trouble.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio sat down with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant on RAW Recap this week. When asked to comment on John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza on September 20th, Mysterio recalled being scared of Lesnar the minute they stepped in the ring because of their size difference.
Furthermore, the luchador legend noted that The Beast does not care about John Cena’s career nearing its end, and that The Greatest Of All Time may get hurt.
Rey Mysterio Knows What Brock Lesnar Does Inside A WWE Ring, Warns John Cena
Brock Lesnar and John Cena have locked horns many times in the past, so it’s not like Cena does not know what he is getting into. Be that as it may, Mysterio showed genuine concern over the soon-to-be-retired 17-time World Champion.
Brock [Lesnar] is a different beast, though. Godd**n. Brock is–he doesn’t care if you’re on your way out or if you came in or if you’re John Cena or whoever it is that you are. Brock is from another planet! I honestly did not realize I was scared of Brock until I stepped in the ring with him for the first time.
Cena and Lesnar’s match at Wrestlepalooza is promoted as the show’s headliner, and perhaps that is why WWE’s first PLE broadcast on ESPN will not feature a world title defense. Instead, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ return has been announced for the show.
As for the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, he will team up with his wife, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, against CM Punk and his wife, the returning AJ Lee. The upcoming Mixed Tag Team match marks AJ Lee’s first in a decade.
