Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns Reportedly “Not A One-And-Done”

Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns

According to a new report the monumental clash between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel will not be the only time that the pair meet in the coming months.

Since returning at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar has had his eyes firmly set on Roman Reigns and the Head of the Table’s Universal Championship.

After dispatching John Cena at the summer spectacular, Reigns was quickly challenged by Finn Balor. This led to Balor brining back his ‘Demon’ persona for a chaotic clash at Extreme Rules. With Reigns emerging victorious on the night, all attention turned to the clash between the champion and Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has now suggested that the match in Saudi Arabia might only be the beginning. The report adds that a huge rematch at WrestleMania 38 isn’t totally out of the question.

“Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal title is the headliner. From what we understand, and what makes sense, is this is not a one-and-done program. For one, unless Dwayne Johnson is wrestling Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, this would appear to be the biggest possible Mania match. So the idea here is to build to a return, whether that means Lesnar wins to build to a rematch or some disputed decision takes place. There is also Paul Heyman in play as the storyline is written to tease that Heyman is a double agent and you don’t know who he will side with when all the chips are down.”

Brock Lesnar returned to SmackDown on October 1st determined to cause more chaos among The Bloodline. The Beast continued to hint that Paul Heyman was still ‘Team Lesnar’ before things got physical with Reigns. While Reigns got some solid right hands in, he was quickly felled by a German Suplex. With Reigns beating a hasty retreat, Lesnar delivered F’s to Jimmy and Jey Uso.
