Brock Lesnar’s Suspension Lifted, Heading Back To SmackDown

Brock Lesnar

It has been announced that Brock Lesnar will return to Friday Night SmackDown on December 3rd.

Brock Lesnar is heading back to SmackDown much to the chagrin of Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.

On the November 26th episode of SmackDown, Reigns opened the show with his Special Counsel Paul Heyman after the pair interrupted Kayla Braxton. The announcer had earlier suggested that Brock Lesnar’s indefinite suspension, was no longer indefinite, and he could be returning to action soon.

An incensed Heyman said that rumours counted for nothing, insinuating that unless she came up with proof, Braxton’s job would be on the line.

At this, Reigns grabbed the mic to remind the world that he defeated WWE Champion Big E at Survivor Series. Not only that, he’s beaten everybody put in front of him. He went on to describe himself as the “Greatest of all time” as he and Heyman repeatedly asserted that Lesnar wasn’t a threat.

However, the twist in the tail came at the end of the show, with Sami Zayn earning himself shot at the Universal Championship. Zayn won the Black Friday Invitational Battle Royal after eliminating Jeff Hardy after the Hardy thought he’d won.

This initially raised a smile with the Reigns clan backstage, but the mood soon changed as Kayla Braxton announced that Brock Lesnar would be at next week’s SmackDown as the show went off the air.

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the night after Crown Jewel where he was controversially pinned by Roman Reigns in his attempts to win the Universal Championship. On the October 22nd edition of SmackDown Lesnar attacked Reigns, smashing him in the face with the steel steps. He then began setting up the announce table to deliver an F-5 but was thwarted by The Usos.

Although the Tag Team Champions proved to be only a fleeting distraction. The Beast threw the two brothers around the ringside area, before attacking a camera man and WWE personnel who had come to try and calm the situation.

Multiple Superstars ran down to stop Lesnar but the wild brawl continued with bodies flying everywhere. After the break, Adam Pearce cut a promo explaining that Brock Lesnar was indefinitely suspended. It was news that the former Universal Champion took especially badly. Lesnar returned to the ring, delivering two F-5’s, ripping Pearce’s trousers in the process before leaving.

A week later Pearce announced that Lesnar had been fined $1 million.
