Brock Lesnar Chooses His WrestleMania Opponent

Brock Lesnar

Royal Rumble winner Brock Lesnar declared that he will face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania!

The 2022 Royal Rumble was a mixed night for former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, who lost his championship to Bobby Lashley along with losing his Advocate.

Near the end of their championship bout, Roman Reigns appeared to interfere in the match, and was shockingly handed the WWE Championship by Paul Heyman, showing that he’d realigned with the Special Counsel to the Tribal Chief after firing him in December. Reigns used the title belt to hit Lesnar, allowing Bobby Lashley to hit a spear and once again become the WWE Champion.

However, the night took a turn for the better when Lesnar made a surprise entrance at number 30 in the Royal Rumble and went on to win the whole thing. Ahead of Monday Night Raw, WWE.com advertised that Lesnar would be wasting no time in choosing his opponent and would make his decision on the January 31st episode.

Sure enough, The Beast Incarnate interrupted Bobby Lashley’s championship celebration at the beginning of the show and announced that despite his wanting a rematch for his WWE Championship, he would be looking for retribution from Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38. He then challenged Bobby Lashley to a WWE title match right then and there, saying he wanted his WrestleMania bout to be title vs. title, but his request was denied.

Brock Lesnar announced for the Elimination Chamber

Brock Lesnar will get another chance to win back his WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia on February 19 as he was officially entered into the match by WWE official Adam Pearce.
