From being the “Next Big Thing” to becoming the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar has remained a dominant force every time that he steps into a WWE ring.
His freakish strength and athleticism immediately made him stand out from the rest of the roster and he wasted little time in racking up a Hall of Fame-worthy CV. The former amateur wrestling star is a ten-time World Champion and has won every major WWE honour that there is to win. All while taking on and defeating some of the biggest names in history, such as The Rock, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker and John Cena.
Someone who has been on an impressive run of their own is Gunther. The Intercontinental Champion hasn’t lost in singles action since arriving on the main roster in April 2022 and has held championship gold since June.
Brock Lesnar Hailed As One Of The Greats
There have also been reports that the Austrian star is heading for a WrestleMania showdown with Brock Lesnar. Appearing on the Battleground Podcast, Gunther said that he would love to face The Beast, describing him as one of the best ever.
“Yeah, definitely,” Gunther replied when asked if he’d like to face Brock Lesnar.
To get the opportunity to prove myself in that scenario would be fantastic. When I started as a wrestler and got back into wrestling, I always watched Brock’s matches because they are fantastic, they stand out right away. There is nobody like him. I always like those characters. Most of the people doing this who are successful, there is no copy of them. He’s always been a great wrestler, and from when I grew older in my career, I was able to analyze the work and understand the psychology and stuff. You can tell he’s one of the best to ever do it. If I get a chance to get in the ring with him, I would gladly take it.”
Gunther was most recently in action on the January 13th episode of SmackDown where he retained his title against Braun Strowman. Brock Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since pinning Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel in November.
