With the 2023 Royal Rumble just a matter of weeks away, it appears that Brock Lesnar will soon be back with WWE.
The former World Champion hasn’t wrestled since defeating Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel on November 5th. Given Lesnar’s notoriously part-time schedule, the star promptly stepped away from WWE. However, it has long been believed that he would would return for the Royal Rumble given the status of the event. This has seemingly been backed up by WWE’s most recent promotional material for the show.

On the most up to date poster for the Rumble, Brock Lesnar features prominently, indicating he will be at the show. Although as WWE have demonstrated for decades, nothing is for certain.
The 2022 Royal Rumble proved to be a mixed night for Lesnar as he lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley thanks to interference from Roman Reigns. Not content to let his story end there, Lesnar quickly turned his fortunes around by winning the men’s Royal Rumble Match and securing a World Title match at WrestleMania 38. In the lead up to the spectacular, Lesnar won back the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber setting up a huge ‘Winner Take All’ bout against Reigns.
At WrestleMania 38, Reigns defeated Lesnar to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
With regard to WrestleMania 39 in California, it has been reported that Brock Lesnar could be heading for a showdown with Gunther. The Intercontinental Champion hasn’t lost in singles action since moving to SmackDown back in April 2022. The Austrian star has been locked in a feud with Ricochet and Braun Strowman in recent weeks on the blue brand. Gunther is set to defend his title against Strowman on an upcoming episode of the show.
