Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has seemingly been pulled from the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash show despite previously being advertised to appear.
Lesnar competed in the main event of WrestleMania 38 where he put his WWE Title on the line in a ‘Winner Take All Title Unification’ match against Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief finally lay to rest the ghosts of WrestleMania 31 and 34 as he finally pinned Brock Lesnar on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
Since then, The Beast Incarnate has not been seen on WWE television but was listed on WWE.com as a featured star set to appear at WrestleMania Backlash. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer also reported:
“Lesnar is booked for two of the next three PPV shows, WrestleMania Backlash on 5/8 in Providence, RI (6,059 tickets out) and Money in the Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 7/2.”
But now Brock Lesnar’s status for the event could be up in the air as he no longer appears in advertising on WWE’s website for WrestleMania Backlash but is still listed for the Money In The Bank event in July.
The WWE Superstars listed for WrestleMania Backlash are Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair, while Edge features on the event’s poster.
Only two matches at this time have been confirmed for WrestleMania Backlash on the 8th of May with The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes slated to face Seth Rollins in a WrestleMania rematch. Another WrestleMania rematch will take place at the event as Charlotte Flair once again puts her SmackDown Women’s Title on the line against Ronda Rousey in an I Quit match.
