WWE have announced that broadcaster Kevin Patrick is set to join the company as a backstage correspondent for Monday Night Raw, play-by-play commentator for WWE Main Event and as the host of Raw Talk.
The Dublin native has previously worked as play-by-play commentator, reporter and studio host both in Ireland and in the United States.
Commenting on this new step in his career, Patrick described himself as “thrilled” and “excited” to be joining WWE.
“I’m beyond thrilled to join WWE,” said Patrick. “I’ve always been blown away by the incredible charisma and athleticism of the WWE Superstars, and I’m excited at the opportunity to help tell their stories.”
Patrick currently works a broadcaster for CNN International and Atlanta United matches on FOX Sports, as well as hosting for SiriusXM FC.
Raw Talk is currently hosted by Charly Caruso and R-Truth and it is unclear what Patrick’s arrival will mean for the pair’s future on the post-raw panel show. Likewise the roles of Tom Phillips and Samoa Joe who appear behind the WWE Main Event announce desk at present.
Raw Talk and Main Event can currently be found on the WWE Network alongside numerous documentaries and WWE originals. WWE recently announced the details of all of the new content which will be arriving on the Network in March.
The announcement included the unveiling of a new documentary on female amateur wrestler Heaven Fitch. The documentary is notable for being the company’s first non-WWE focussed documentary to feature on the WWE Network.
