AEW Star Britt Baker isn’t mincing her words when it comes to answering her critics.
The former Women’s World Champion is a polarizing figure who is never far from controversy. Her real-life animosity toward Thunder Rosa is well documented and she was recently involved in a backstage altercation with MJF, which saw her suspended for several weeks.
Baker made her return to the company at Forbidden Door after a lengthy nine-month layoff due to an injury, during which she confronted TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. However, their rivalry was interrupted by her subsequent suspension, and her match against Mone at All In 2024 received negative feedback. In 2024 received negative feedback from fans.
Despite the criticism, Baker remains unfazed. In an interview with Us Weekly, she revealed her answer to said chastisement:
“I’m exhausted,” Baker said. “I’m not going to be polite anymore. Leave me alone. Politeness is 2024. Everyone needs to be real and authentic and the world will be a better place.”

During the interview, Baker explained that a lot of the criticism she receives is online, to which she disclosed :
“You can’t ever believe what you read about yourself, whether it’s really good or really bad, or you’re going to end up medicated and sedated potentially ,” Baker noted. “It’s tough because we live in a world where social media is so prominent. Social media fuels what we do, essentially.”
Baker continued, “We rely on it. But man, is it toxic. It’s brutal. There’s a whole population of people on social media who just want to make you feel bad about yourself. It’s crazy we live in a world where that’s their mission. ‘I’m going to wake up today, tweet 10 mean tweets to Britt. I’m gonna take a lunch break. And then maybe I’ll do 10 more.’ It’s bizarre.”
