Britain’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman has revealed how he and WWE have been in touch with him and his brother, Luke, regarding a role in the company, having previously invited the duo to a tryout.
The 26-year-old Stoltman – from Invergordon, Scotland – is the younger brother of five-time Scotland’s Strongest Man Luke Stoltman. Tom, though, has recently found success of his own by finishing second in the the 2020 World’s Strongest Man competition in Bradenton, Florida.
Speaking on this week’s episode of Football Daft, the World’s Strongest Man runner up Tom Stoltman revealed how he and his brother have previously been contacted by WWE, but couldn’t make the tryout as they were doing a strongman competition.
When asked by former ICW World Heavyweight Champion Grado if WWE had been in touch, Stoltman replied:
“This is true. So, me and my brother got asked to the tryouts when they came to Germany for the European ones, but… I don’t know why we didn’t take them. I think we were doing some massive competition or something. We’ve messaged them a few times back and forward.”
Stoltman revealed how Triple H was part of the chain of command he was dealing with, before opening up on how, while he no longer watches wrestling, he used to watch, reminiscing about seeing Scotty 2 Hotty on TV as a kid.
Ahead of his WWE Championship victory over Randy Orton to become two-time Champion, Drew McIntyre paid tribute to Stoltman on Twitter.
