Brian Pillman Jr. will be renamed when he debuts in WWE, according to a new report.
Pillman Jr. has yet to make his debut on NXT following multiple vignettes signifying his imminent arrival. However, when the debut does take place, fans will not see the new signee compete under his real name and the name he used in AEW.
As reported by PWInsider, the company has trademarked the name Lexis King, which is rumoured to be the name that will be given to Pillman Jr. when he makes his debut. It is also stated that Lexis is in reference to Pillman Jr.’s sister Alexis who sadly passed away in 2009 as a result of a car accident, while King is in reference to Skylar King, another of his sisters.
It should be noted that it is not 100% confirmed that this is the name that has been assigned for Pillman Jr. but many at the Performance Center believe this to be the case.
During the October 10th episode of NXT, Brian Pillman Jr. said he would be taking the name “King.”
When Will Brian Pillman Jr. Debut?
With multiple videos airing to seemingly signal the arrival of the former AEW star, it appears that the long-awaited debut will take place sooner rather than later. The latest Brian Pillman Jr. tease was seen during No Mercy, where a mystery figure was seen watching TV once again.
Despite video packages airing and a name also apparently confirmed, it looks like the first in-person appearance of the former Varsity Blond is not too far away. However, it was recently reported that WWE does not have any plans for Brian Pillman Jr. in the immediate future beyond the series of vignettes.
