Former WWE and WCW Superstar Brian Knobbs has shared a new picture showing his incredible weight loss as he recovers from multiple medical issues that left him hospitalised in August. The former Nasty Boy was also visited by his long-time friend, Ric Flair.
Knobbs’ friend Fred Jung set up a fundraiser for the star when he went into the hospital. Jung revealed at the time that the multi-time Tag Team Champion had been suffering from major stomach issues and potentially required knee surgery.
However, things are looking brighter for Knobbs, who shared a picture of he and Ric Flair on Facebook which showed he was out of the hospital bed and looking a lot healthier. The accompanying text said that he was on the “fast track to recovery” having lost weight and rehabbing daily.
“Nothing better to lift your spirits and get you even more motivated than a visit from one of your closest friends, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
“True friendship isn’t about being there when it’s convenient; it’s about being there when it’s not.
Brian is on the fast track to recovery. Losing over 60 lb and rehabbing every day. Having the emotional and financial support from all of his family, friends and fans has been a huge motivator in his road to recovery. Although Brian still has a rocky road ahead of him he is determined to get back out there stronger and better than ever. We are very close to reaching Brian’s GoFundMe goal your continued support is truly appreciated. Brian’s sincere thanks to everyone for all the love and support.”

Brian Knobbs, together with his longtime tag team partner Jerry Sags as The Nasty Boys, were a mainstay of tag team wrestling throughout the early nineties in both WWE and WCW. At WrestleMania VII in 1991, The Nasty Boys with Jimmy Hart in their corner won the then-WWF Tag Team Championship from The Hart Foundation. They held that title until SummerSlam of the same year where they lost to The Legion Of Doom.
In 1993 the team headed south to World Championship Wrestling where they captured the tag team title three separate times. Knobbs had a run as a singles wrestler in WCW following Jerry Sags’ retirement and had his final match in the promotion in 2000.
The Nasty Boys reunited on the independent scene before embarking on a short run in TNA following close friend Hulk Hogan joining the company in January 2010.
At the time of writing the GoFundMe for Brian Knobbs is extremely close to meeting its $20,000 goal, with a current total of $19,130.
