One of Bret Hart‘s biggest fans got a massive surprise for his 40th birthday: a visit from The Hitman himself.
Hart served as inspiration for plenty of aspiring wrestlers in his career, and the admiration between himself and former AEW Tag Team Champions FTR has been no secret.
Now, as Dax Harwood approaches his 40th birthday on June 30th, he’s been surprised with a visit from his mentor and friend. Taking to social media, Harwood shared a video of Hart surprising him at a birthday celebration, with Hart joking, “Who’s this old guy approaching?” Along with the video, Harwood wrote:

Bret Hart Credits Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler For Helping Revitalize His Popularity
Speaking in a February interview with Fox Sports, Hart opened up about his own popularity, crediting CM Punk, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler for helping remind fans of his own in-ring greatness.
“And even in my case I seem to be as revered or popular as I’ve ever been – and it’s maybe because of the salutes I’ve been getting from guys like (CM) Punk, and FTR, different wrestlers have mentioned my name, or do something that I did in the ring as a nod or a salute to me, and I appreciate all that. I think CM Punk alone has done a lot to remind wrestling fans to take a look back at some of the stuff that I was doing, and how good it was.”
