Bret Hart Names His Dream Opponent For One More Match

Bret Hart Names The WWE Hall Of Famer He Believes Was Better Than Him

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has revealed the one wrestler he would choose to face again if given the chance to relive his prime.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hart named the late Mr. Perfect, Curt Hennig, as his ideal opponent for one more match. He also mentioned his brother, Owen Hart, as another wrestler he would love to share the ring with again.

“If I could pick one guy to have one more match with in our prime, it would be Curt,” Hart said. “I loved working with Curt; either Curt or Owen, they were the most fun to work with. Curt and Roddy were the two guys that helped launch me and get me up from sort of the middle of the card and made me a main event guy, I’ll never forget that. I loved working with Curt, and he had a lot to do with me going on to win the world title and stuff like that.”

Hart’s connection with Hennig is legendary among wrestling fans. Their 1991 SummerSlam match, where Hart defeated Hennig to capture the Intercontinental Championship, is widely regarded as one of WWE’s all-time classics. The performance is often credited with cementing Hart’s status as a future top star.

Reflecting on those memories, Hart’s admiration for Hennig’s influence on his career is clear. Both men are remembered as masters of their craft, and Hart’s comments underline just how pivotal their encounters were in shaping his journey to the top of WWE. Curt Hennig, who passed away in 2003, remains celebrated for his in-ring skill and storytelling abilities.

Which Hulk Hogan Story Does Bret Hart Believe Is A Lie?

Bret Hart spoke about a Hulk Hogan story he believes is one of Hogan’s many tall tales. Hart spoke about the story of how Hogan got his black eye that he sported at WrestleMania 9 and how he doesn’t believe Hogan’s story of receiving the shiner as a result of a jet-skiing accident. Instead, Hart thinks that the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage’s story of punching Hogan due to animosity between the two wrestlers is a more believable story due to Savage’s nature to tell the truth and Hogan’s nature of often lying.
