Recently, Bret Hart spoke about iconic matches that he’s had in WWE against Glenn Jacobs and Jerry “The King” Lawler.
In 1995 at King of the Ring, Bret Hart and Lawler would square off in a Kiss My Foot Match, with “The Hitman” getting the victory. That would lead to another big pay-per-view later that year at SummerSlam, with Bret Hart having a match with Isaac Yankem, DDS, who was the personal dentist for “The King.” In the contest, Hart picked up the win over Yankem, with the character being played by Glenn Jacobs.
On the most recent edition of “Table For 3” on WWE Network, all three of Hart, Lawler and Jacobs made an appearance. During the show, Hart — who was the babyface in the feud between him and Lawler — gave “The King” props for being such a good heel.
“It was red hot as soon as we went out there. So easy, it was like kindlewood. I never saw anyone, I’ll say this, and I’ve said it before, that was as good a villain as you. You were a master.”
With Lawler, he stated that that the rivalry between him and Hart is the best that he’s ever had throughout his entire WWE career, while Jacobs viewed his character as an opportunity to further himself in the professional wrestling business before he skyrocketed to stardom as Kane.
