Bret Hart Set To Feature In Latest ‘Tales From The Territories’ Episode

Bret Hart

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart to star In The Rock’s ‘Tales From The Territories’ Project.

Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart is set to appear in an upcoming episode of ‘Tales From The Territories’ that will focus on Stampede Wrestling.

The Canadian professional wrestling promotion based in Calgary, Alberta, was founded by Bret’s father, Stu Hart, in 1948 before being sold to Vince McMahon in 1984.

“Dark Side of the Ring” co-executive producers/co-creators Evan Husney and Jason Eisner serve as Executive Producers for the project along with The Rock, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Brian Gewirtz of Seven Bucks Productions. Chavo Guerrero is also listed as a co-producer.

Speaking with Chris Jericho on the Talk is Jericho podcast, Evan Husney and Jason Eisner revealed what fans can expect to see in the new ‘Tales from the Territories’ series, including the episode devoted to Stampede Wrestling:

“Bret Hart is the star of the episode. We leaned on him to ask him who he thought would be great at the table and he really helped us figure that out” said Eisner.

Bret Hart will be joined at the roundtable by Stampede alumni ‘Dr. D’ David Schultz, Abdullah the Butcher, and ‘No Class’ Bobby Bass.

The duo also discussed that despite recent tension between Bret and themselves, they were able to reconcile and work together again:

“Yeah, there was some heat over the Montreal Screwjob episode but we are all cool now. It was so great to be able to work with Bret Hart. We’ve always wanted to work with him again. It worked out. Obviously having Brian [Gewirtz] and Dwayne in your corner too, we can make that work.”

‘Tales From the Territories’ premieres October 4 at 10:00 PM ET on VICE TV. The debut episode will cover Memphis, with the episode titled: “Memphis: Where Wrestling Was Real.”

The series will also cover the Stampede promotion, as well as Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid-South, Polynesian Pacific Pro, World Class Championship Wrestling and Portland.
