The Ring General faced CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam in a defense of his World Heavyweight Title. The night did not go according to plan for the star, as he not only lost his title but suffered a brutal facial injury that left him bleeding all over the place.
There has now been a new update on Gunther’s health.
Gunther Is Out Indefinitely After Brutal Injury At SummerSlam.
WWE officially issued a statement after The Ring General was left injured at SummerSlam. The star will be out indefinitely, as informed by Michael Cole on RAW. The veteran commentator also stated that Gunther suffered a septal hematoma and orbital blowout fracture.
It seems that the star will be out for a long time. Even before SummerSlam, it was reported that The Ring General was dealing with a nose issue, and it seems that his injury at the PLE only aggravated matters.

Gunther was oozing blood at SummerSlam after a table spot saw CM Punk drop his opponent face-first onto the announcer’s table. The star then went on to lose the title to Punk. However, it was Seth Rollins who ultimately emerged as the winner of the night as he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to claim the world title from The Second City Saint.
ITR Wrestling would like to wish Gunther a speedy recovery.
