Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at Extreme Rules 2022 in one of the most crowd pleasing moments of the year.
Wyatt had been released by WWE in July 2021 after falling from favour with the Vince McMahon-led regime. At the time of his departure Wyatt had been inactive for a number of months and hadn’t wrestled since being defeated by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.
Bray Wyatt Back In Action
Since returning to WWE, Bray Wyatt has remained as mysterious as ever, although he has yet to wrestle on television since coming back. However, fans at WWE’s traditional Boxing Day live event at Madison Square Garden got to see Wyatt get back inside the ropes. The former World Champion wrestled in all black attire and worked as a babyface playing up to the crowd as he overcame Jinder Mahal.
The match marked Wyatt’s first in-ring action since April 11th 2021.
Wyatt’s return to the ring comes after began advertising a Pitch Black Match for the Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas. The voiceover on the clip posted to social media by WWE said: “When it’s the Pitch Black Match, anything can happen.” It has previously been reported that the match will feature Wyatt, although there has been no official conformation.
