Bray Wyatt Had A “Wildly Entertaining” Plan To Join WWE Legend’s Group

Bray Wyatt had a thrilling idea to align with a WWE legend’s faction.

Bray Wyatt formed several iconic and memorable partnerships in his WWE career. He started as a member of the Nexus, followed by The Wyatt Family, and even saw himself paired up with the likes of Alexa Bliss and Matt Hardy. Interestingly, another group he was supposed to be associated with was the House Hardy Family.

According to Bray Wyatt’s former partner, Matt Hardy, the former was supposed to be adopted into the Hardy family after he lost their Ultimate Deletion match in 2018. The Eater of Worlds already had a story laid out where he lost his family and wanted to prove his worth to Matt and Jeff Hardy. Unfortunately, these plans never happened.

“Coincidently, that’s exactly what we wanted to do. Bray had an amazing story laid out which he had lost all of his family & wanted to earn his way into joining the House Hardy family. It was super creative & wildly entertaining.”

Matt and Bray’s team, The Deleters of Worlds, was formed in 2018, and the unexpected pairing worked well due to their eccentric characters, even winning a RAW Tag Team Championship along the way.

Matt Hardy Previously Shared Why He Turned Down A Faction With Bray Wyatt And Jeff Hardy

After The Deleters of Worlds disbanded in 2018, Bray Wyatt later found another iconic character to play, The Fiend, in 2020. As it turns out, fans were close to seeing a faction with him, Willow the Wisp, and Broken Matt.

In a December 2023 edition of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the current TNA star shared that he was pitched to have a faction with Jeff Hardy and Bray Wyatt with their alter-egos, Willow the Wisp and The Fiend, respectively. Although the idea seemed enticing, he turned it down as it would only happen if Matt decided to re-sign with WWE, which he didn’t do and joined AEW that year instead.
