There’s a new update on Bray Wyatt after fans have not seen him on WWE programming for quite some time.
Fightful Select is reporting that Bray Wyatt is not cleared for a return following an illness that has been keeping him away from television. A source within WWE was reached out to by Fightful and they confirmed that
Wyatt is still sidelined.
Bray Wyatt’s Tulmutous Second Run With WWE
Wyatt was released back in the summer of 2021 and fans were up-in-arms about The Fiend’s free agency. However, not long after Vince McMahon made a short-term exit from the company, Triple H made the move to bring Wyatt back.
This time, Wyatt was without his “Fiend” persona, but came back contrite and conflicted, not long before introducing another strange identity by the name of “Uncle Howdy.” Wyatt had a short-term feud now with the white-hot LA Knight and it eventually led to a gimmicky “Pitch Black” match at Royal Rumble where Wyatt came out victorious.
It appeared that Bray was getting ready to be in a feud with Bobby Lashley for WrestleMania 39, but that never came to fruition as Wyatt missed episodes of “SmackDown” before being removed from programming all together.
As for “Uncle Howdy,” the identity of the character remains unknown, but it was heavily speculated that Wyatt’s brother, Bo Dallas, was portraying the persona. Back in May, The Road Dogg Brian James recently stated on his “Oh…You Didn’t Know” podcast that Wyatt did receive a new writer in creative for him during his absence.
