Bray Wyatt Seemingly Explains Origins Of Feud With Randy Orton

The Fiend Bray Wyatt Alexa Bliss

Bray Wyatt has alluded to the resurrection of The Fiend and his issues with Randy Orton, indicating that they go further back than most people realise.

Wyatt posted a photo on social media of himself and Orton in the ring together. The picture was from the 31st of January 2011 edition of Monday Night Raw. Wyatt, then known as Husky Harris was part of The New Nexus.

The photo shows the moment before Orton punted Harris in the head. This was revenge after The New Nexus’ leader CM Punk had cost Orton the WWE Championship the night before at the Royal Rumble.

Wyatt accompanied the image with a quote from one of the best-known villains – The Joker:

“Someday someone will break you so badly that you’ll become unbreakable. -The Joker”

Orton punted each member of The New Nexus week after week, taking them out of action before Orton faced CM Punk at WrestleMania 27.

CM Punk responded to Wyatt’s tweet, commenting:

“I tried to warn him. Randal never listened. Hope you don’t hold a grudge for that little whipping incident. Bygones and such…”

The ‘whipping incident’ was Harris’s initiation into The New Nexus. To prove his loyalty to Punk Harris allowed the leader of the group to whip him on his bare back with a belt.

Bray Wyatt returned as a charred version of The Fiend at Fastlane. Wyatt reappeared through the ring canvas during Orton’s match with Alexa Bliss. Wyatt nailed Orton with his Sister Abigail move allowing Bliss to defeat The Viper.

The Fiend had not been seen on television since the TLC event in December. At that event, Orton set Wyatt on fire in the middle of the ring after a Firefly Inferno match.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton will meet one-on-one at WrestleMania. It has been confirmed that match will take place on night one of the two-night spectacular.
