Rumors continue to swirl over Bray Wyatt’s immediate future in WWE. Despite receiving an enormous reaction upon his return last year, creative decisions surrounding Wyatt haven’t really moved forward since his Pitch Black Match against LA Knight at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
And while Wyatt has wrestled on a few house shows since then, plans surrounding his involvement at WrestleMania have changed many times in recent months.
He was initially rumored to be scheduled to face Brock Lesnar but Lesnar refused the match. At least one WWE Hall of Famer supported that decision because Lesnar has ultimate creative control over his matches and booking and Bray Wyatt is seen as “too niche” for Lesnar.
After that, plans shifted so that Wyatt would face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania instead. This was apparent after Wyatt cut a promo naming both Lesnar and Lashley as possible opponents of his.
However, now those plans are also out the window as Wyatt has not been seen on WWE programming in weeks. A report from earlier today noted that Bobby Lashley is now scheduled to compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
What is going on with Bray Wyatt ahead of WWE WrestleMania?
With so many changes in Wyatt’s booking, some have wondered if there’s something going on with the man behind the character.
However, if public photos are any indication, then Wyatt appears to be fine since he was photographed with a fan that was driving home from work.

Wyatt returned at Extreme Rules 2022 following several weeks of subtle teases involving a QR Code and a “white rabbit”. Since then he has only had one televised match, that being the aforementioned one with LA Knight back in January.
