Bray Wyatt Hints At The Continuation Of The Fiend Outside Of WWE

The Fiend Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has heavily hinted towards a continuation of The Fiend character that he portrayed in WWE even after he has parted ways with the company.

Wyatt was released from his WWE contract on the 31st of July 2021 in news that shocked the entire wrestling world. The news was first confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp who noted that Wyatt was gone from the company after WWE posted a statement on Twitter. That first tweet was quickly deleted, however, a new statement was issued shortly after confirming that WWE had come to terms on the release of the former WWE Universal Champion.

It was then reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Wyatt was told his release was due to budget cuts. In addition, the former world champion had been preparing to return in August.

Wyatt – real name Windham Rotunda – was released from his WWE contract to the surprise of many on the 31st of July. Wyatt last competed for the company at WrestleMania 37 when he lost to long-time rival Randy Orton after a distraction from the twisted Alexa Bliss. The next night on Raw, Wyatt appeared in his final Firefly Funhouse segment, giving a promo that eerily foreshadowed his departure from the promotion.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated also reported that Bray Wyatt being absent from television for months was to do with a medical reason although the former WWE Champion had been cleared before his release:

“Since WrestleMania 37 in April, Rotunda has been out with an undisclosed physical ailment, one that Sports Illustrated confirmed is not concussion-related. He was finally cleared last Thursday, then effectively fired on Saturday.”

After breaking his silence on social media, Wyatt has now returned to Twitter to give a cryptic hint at what his future might hold, posting a picture of what appears to be a drawing of half a painted face with the caption:

“You can’t kill it”
