Bray Wyatt has long been an enigmatic and esoteric character. From his days as a cult leader to his time as a Mr. Rogers knock-off with a demonic split personality, to whatever he has going on now, he has always been a strange character that has done things that most wrestlers wouldn’t even think of.
One of Bray Wyatt’s biggest promotional successes was the QR Code gimmick that teased Wyatt’s return to WWE back in 2022. That concept was so successful that now, WWE is using it again to bring back another “aspect” of Wyatt’s character
On the January 14th episode of SmackDown, a QR Code appeared similar to the “White Rabbit” one that appeared last year. But unlike that one, this new one is much clearer.
Bray Wyatt’s ‘Fiend’ character alleged to return based on QR Code message
Users that scanned the QR Code were linked to a video of Bray Wyatt. In the video, Bray Wyatt chuckles before saying “see you in Hell”. At that point, his smile turns into a sinister frown and then the Fiend’s visage appears in his place.
Wyatt has been embroiled in a feud with LA Knight as of late but he has also been dealing with another character named Uncle Howdy. Howdy was first believed to be Wyatt’s ally, but then he turned on and attacked Bray not too long ago.
This story has gotten even murkier as Uncle Howdy confronted Alexa Bliss on the January 9th episode of RAW. It appeared that Bliss intends on re-embracing the stranger character she portrayed back in 2021 when she was also part of a supernatural alliance with Wyatt.
Wyatt’s first big match back will be at the 2023 Royal Rumble event on January 28th, where he will take on LA Knight in what’s being promoted as a Mountain Dew Pitch Black match. Exact details on the match stipulation have yet to be revealed.
