WWE have continued to tease the impending return of Bray Wyatt with more subtle hints in the latest set of graphics for extreme rules.
After becoming one of the most popular in recent WWE history, Bray Wyatt was released by the company in July 2021. The star hadn’t wrestled or featured on WWE television for a number of months, and had reportedly clashed with then-Chairman Vince McMahon over his creative.
It was recently noted that there was an “issue” with The Fiend “being cleared” to compete in the ring.
However, in recent weeks, the speculation a potential return has intensified. While it was noted that the chances of a comeback increased with Triple H assuming creative control of the company, numerous teases, rumoured to be linked to Wyatt have begun appearing across Raw, SmackDown and live events.
The ‘white rabbit’ teases began during the September 16th edition of SmackDown and have continued with a number of cryptic messages via a series of QR codes.
Eagle-eyed fans have also picked up on another subtle hint that has appeared on the latest set of graphics for Extreme Rules. In the background of the graphics for the men’s matches, a lantern surrounded by fireflies can been seen in the top left corner. The lantern is missing from the graphics promoting the women’s matches.
The lantern and fireflies were synonymous with Wyatt during his most popular run with WWE as the leader of The Wyatt Family.
