On the November 18th episode of SmackDown LA Knight confronted Bray Wyatt. Not only did he confront the star, he slapped him across the face, not once, but twice. However, he appeared to pay for his actions within minutes, after seemingly being attacked backstage.
The apparent attack came after LA Knight had run down Wyatt in a promo after their confrontation. During the interview, a mask could be seen in the darkness behind him.
Bray Wyatt Addresses LA Knight
While it is believed that Wyatt involved in the attack on Knight, there was very little in concrete proof. As a result, Bray Wyatt came to the ring to address the situation and the rumours surrounding him.
Bray Wyatt explained that he felt he had a good reading on what people think of him, and he knows they whisper behind his back. Although, he pretends he doesn’t hear those things. This means that he knows that people only see him as a rabid animal, and want to see the monster, and want to see The Fiend.
Despite this being greeted with cheers, Wyatt said that’s not the man he wants to be anymore, and it’s very hard to explain the burdens that he carries. But he understands why the audience feel the way that they do, as he all has ever shown them is violence. At this he said that he didn’t attack LA Knight.
However, he was prevented from expanding further by a video on the big screen from Uncle Howdy. In the clip, Howdy said that Wyatt’s built on lies, and can make people believe anything, and will “make fools of us all.” The voice added that “never forget, a snake in a cage is a still a snake. The video ended with Howdy imploring everyone to wake up.
As the video finished LA Knight gave an interview backstage and said that he would have gone after Wyatt had he not been using crutches with his arm in a sling. At the end of the segment, Wyatt’s logo flashed up on the screen.
