‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman is targeting Drew McIntyre and the WWE Championship when he’s finished with Keith Lee.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, the former WWE Universal Champion made no bones about where his priorities lay once his current feud had come to a conclusion.
In the interview which was conducted prior to Friday Night SmackDown on October 16 and completely in character, Strowman had some stark words for the Scot:
““Drew McIntyre, enjoy holding that (WWE) World Heavyweight Championship because you know I’m coming for it. You know I want it. You know we got bad beef. I’ve eaten more Claymore Kicks than I’m damn sure willing to admit to, so I’ve got something coming for you. I’ve just got to humble Roman Reigns and this new kid Keith Lee real quick.”
Unfortunately for Strowman, his bout against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship ended in defeat and a measure of humiliation when the giant was forced to submit to a Guillotine Choke.
Also during the interview, the goliath was questioned about his participation on the now defunct Raw Underground which occurred when he was an official member of the blue brand:
“You know, going home. The red brand is where it all started. When I got drafted away from the Wyatt Family I was on RAW. And as much of an amazing time as I’ve had destroying poor souls with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan – you guys haven’t even seen what I’m fully capable of. Not just as a performer, but as a man. I’m going back home, a place where I made a name for myself. I’m going to go back and remind everyone on the RAW brand that I am the alpha of WWE. I’m at the top of the food chain.”
Braun Strowman will settle his lingering rivalry with Keith Lee on the season premiere of Raw this evening. The pair did battle two weeks prior in a bout which ended in a double count out.
As for current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, he is due to defend his gold against Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell on October 25.
Inside the Ropes will have live coverage of Monday Night Raw.
