Braun Strowman Set To Return To WWE

Braun Strowman

After months of speculation Braun Strowman is back with WWE.

On August 29th it was reported that former Universal Champion Braun Strowman could be heading back to WWE. At the time it was noted that there had been discussions within WWE about bringing the ‘Monster Among Men’ back to the company, with many impressed with how he had improved himself since leaving in 2021.

It has now been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Strowman has indeed resigned with the company.

Furthermore, multiple sources have confirmed that the star, real name Adam Scherr, will be in Kansas City for Monday Night Raw on September 5th. The show will host the fall-out from WWE’s upcoming Clash At The Castle event in the UK on September 3rd.

Strowman was cut from WWE in June 2021 in a round of releases alongside Murphy, Lana, Ruby Riott, Aleister Black, and Santana Garrett. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given his stance on independent wrestling, he’s wrestled very little since, with his indie wrestling views leaving some “rubbed[…]the wrong way”.

At the time of his WWE release, Braun Strowman was nearing the end of his multi-million-dollar contract. He’d reportedly played “hardball” during contract negotiations pre-release, which is perhaps what led to him ultimately being cut.
