Braun Strowman Seemingly Teases New Joker-Inspired Gimmick

WWE Braun Strowman

Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman has seemingly teased a new gimmick inspired by The Joker, complete with the Batman villain’s classic catchphrase.

Since leaving WWE in June 2021, Braun Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, has embraced life on the independent scene.

Scherr has made a number of one-off appearances in multiple promotions including Ring of Honor. In recent months, the former World Champion has joined forces with his friend EC3 to launch their own promotion called Control Your Narrative.

Now borrowing from someone else’s narrative Strowman has taken to social media to show off what is perhaps a new gimmick but is definitely inspired by The Joker.

Speaking after his departure from WWE, Scherr claimed that WWE made him a “corporate monster.” He also revealed that he nearly quit wrestling altogether before he even made it to the main roster due to the toll it was taking on his body.

The star signed with WWE in 2013, briefly appearing in NXT before arriving on the main roster as Braun Strowman in August 2015. In his debut, the giant attacked Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose aligning with Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family.

The alliance continued up until the 2016 WWE Draft where Strowman was drafted to Raw with Wyatt and Erick Rowan heading to SmackDown. In the years that followed, Strowman went on to win pretty much every major title WWE had to offer including the Universal Championship.

However, after failing to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash in May 2021, Strowman was released by the company a month later.
