Braun Strowman Responds To Buff Bagwell Posting His Mug Shot
Braun Strowman has become embroiled in an unlikely social media spat with Buff Bagwell, which saw the former WCW star share an old police mug shot.
While arguments on social media are nothing new, not many would have predicted the heated exchange between Adam Scherr, formerly known as Braun Strowman, and Buff Bagwell.
In recent weeks, Bagwell has gained something of a cult following on Twitter owing to good humoured style, fan-like wrestling analysis and support for the LGBTQ community. However, a recent tweet drew the ire of former Universal Champion Scherr.
Bagwell initially posted a tweet making fun of the controversial Control Your Narrative promotion, which Scherr is heavily involved with. In response, the former Braun Strowman hit back, pointing to Bagwell’s well-documented legal troubles, and the fact he previously asked him for a photo when they met.
Not taking the jabs lying down, Bagwell shared a mug shot from Scherr’s own brush with the law a number of years ago. The CYN star said that the information posted with the mug shot was fake.
At the end of the exchange, Scherr seemingly attempt to clear the air, writing that they should be sticking together and not arguing on social media.
You can follow the exchange below.
I just joined CYN. Wait, never mind, it was just gas.

Yes I asked for a picture. I’ve always had a fascination with clowns. You’re mad at me over a joke, don’t be so sensitive it’s only twitter. https://t.co/uUkEQTsaU7

Should I have done it on the water? @Adamscherr99 something about glass houses. I’m open about my past mistakes, and tend not to bring others up against them. You got offended because I made a joke about something I didn’t even know you were part of because I didn’t know you. https://t.co/y2aOBi4Hxypic.twitter.com/8ekPtvYYH4

And I’ll man up right now and admit I came at you to hard. I went for the kill. And shouldn’t have. I understand you didn’t know I was apart of CYN. But imagine you being one of the boys taking shots at a place giving work to other wrestlers.

We should be sticking together to better the industry. It’s toxic enough with the iwc. We shouldn’t be going at each other of social. Best wishes

Scherr also recently found himself in the headlines when he claimed that AEW President Tony Khan “pays off dirt sheets.” He also suggested that AEW wrestlers were black balled by Khan from Control Your Narrative events because the new promotion is a “f**king threat.”
His comments came after Khan indicated he thinks anti-AEW sentiment online actually stems from paid bots working to garner negative publicity for the company.
