AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes has her sights set on a return to the company despite not yet giving birth.
Brandi and Cody Rhodes – AEW EVP and former TNT Champion – announced their pregnancy during an episode of AEW Dynamite in December. They later revealed the gender of the baby in February, confirming they were expecting a little girl.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio Rhodes said that she’s determined to come back for her fans, but also to prove doubters wrong.
“I have a lot of amazing fans that definitely want to see me come back and I have a lot of naysayers that I can’t wait for them to be so pissed off about it. It’s happening. It’s definitely going to happen,”
Upon joining AEW Rhodes made history as the first Black woman to hold an executive position in a professional wrestling company.
During her career, Rhodes as appeared as a professional wrestler and actor as well as being a competitive figure skater.
In March it was announced that Brandi would add another string to her bow with the launch of unscripted reality TV show, “Rhodes to the Top” which is coming to TNT.
The show will follow Cody and Brandi Rhodes as they add a new chapter and a new member to the Rhodes family legacy.
