“Both 6-star Weddings” – Tony Khan Has A Tough Time Choosing Between Marriages Of AEW Stars

AEW boss Tony Khan with MJF and Tay Melo at their respective weddings

Tony Khan is known to socialize with the talents from AEW and ROH. The lifelong wrestling fan has been photographed or filmed at birthday parties and weddings, as well as holiday gatherings.

Khan actually moved Ring of Honor’s 22nd Death Before Dishonor event from September 5 to August 29 so he could accept an invite to the wedding of MJF and Alicia Atout, as just revealed by sources in an interesting behind-the-scenes story. The 29-year-old AEW Original and the 30-year-old backstage interviewer began dating in 2023, then tied the knot this past Friday at The Pine Hollow Club on Long Island, New York. Several AEW stars attended, including some rivals to the current CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion.

Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo were among those present for The Friedman’s wedding on Friday, as seen below in the Instagram embed, which includes a photo of the happy couple with Khan. The parents-to-one tied the knot on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Luxmore Grande Estate near Orlando, Florida. Several wrestlers also attended this wedding, and Khan went viral for dancing in a few clips.

Tony Khan Heckled By AEW Fans Over Wedding Comments

MJF took to X this weekend with his brief “death of a bachelor” statement to mark the wedding to Alicia Atout. The AEW Original received countless congratulatory messages, including one reply from the AEW-ROH owner.

Tony Khan commented on how Friday’s ceremony was the “best wedding ever,” and he thanked the bride. Several fans responded with humorous references to Khan attending the 2022 wedding of Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo. One fan later joked that Guevara was angrily watching the tweet. Khan responded with a nod to both All Elite couples.

“Both 6 star weddings, to be fair. Tay and Sammy also wedding aces,” wrote Tony Khan on X.

Guevara continues to work AEW and ROH these days, and recently captured the vacant ROH World Tag Team Championship with Rush, after being forced to relinquish those titles due to Dustin Rhodes’ injury. MJF is 39 days into his reign as CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, but failed to dethrone Adam Page of the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door two weeks ago.
