WWE is an intense mix of athletic skills and pure entertainment prowess. While most superstars excel at making these two facets of the industry work in unison like a well-oiled machine, sometimes the machine may have some glitches, or in wrestling terms, botches. Night of Champions was not an exception, as there were some interesting/hilarious botches on the show as well.
Some were understandable, while others were downright baffling.
Here are three botches from WWE Night of Champions that you may have missed:
#3. Jade Cargill did not have a clean pin
Jade Cargill may be our new Queen of the Ring, but her route to the crown at WWE Night of Champions was less queenly than she would have wanted. The star had a stellar showing against veteran Asuka and managed to defeat her in an intense battle.
However, that wasn’t it. The pin attempt from The Storm was less than convincing, with many calling it out online.

The star is set for huge things in WWE, and the botch is only a minor blip.
#2. Michael Cole fumbled hard at WWE Night of Champions
Michael Cole is almost the GOAT at this point when it comes to wrestling commentary. We say almost because Jim Ross is still active, and that in itself is self-explanatory. Cole rarely has a bad day in the office, but WWE Night of Champions was hilarious.
Solo Sikoa introduced a new member to his Bloodline in the form of Hikuleo, who immediately got a name change afterwards. Upon his arrival on the scene, Michael Cole fumbled, jumbled, and tumbled through his words, unable to speak and figure out what to say. The legendary commentator was left searching for his words as Jacob Fatu got pounded.
We’ll have to put it in the ‘understandable’ category, since Cole could not use Hikuleo on screen as he was about to get a name change. There was clearly no proper directive given to him, leading to the fumble.
“That’s Tonga Loa- Tama-Tonga, their brother”
What was Cole saying???😭😭#WWENOCpic.twitter.com/ijrvRrVyyT

You’re the best, Cole.
#1. The cables were not all that safe from camels
Remember WWE SmackDown before Night of Champions? Even if you don’t remember what happened on the show, you surely can’t forget the music that played while we waited endlessly for the stream to go live. You might also remember how it hilariously said that camels ate the cable?
Well, the camels may have been at it again, but only for a split second.
As Jade Cargill made her way to the ring, the sound in the feed hilariously cut off. It seemed that as soon as the intro said “A storm is coming,” the producers mistakenly cut off the sound.
Looks like the camel chewed on the cable again 😅#WWENOCpic.twitter.com/4nbXlDlWpV

It happened sporadically throughout the show, as the sound got cut off on a few other occasions.
