Booker T believes that one particular SmackDown star is destined for a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
When Sheamus debuted on Monday Night Raw in 2009, nobody expected him to defeat John Cena in a Tables match and become WWE Champion. Since then, the Celtic Warrior has won just about every championship in the company, minus the Intercontinental Championship.
Although Intercontinental gold has eluded Sheamus in his career, that didn’t deter legendary Superstar Booker T from giving the Celtic Warrior all the praise in the world. On his latest Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T even said that Sheamus would someday be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
“I think Sheamus is gonna be a Hall of Famer. Sheamus is one of the guys that has always been in my fave 5. He’s always been one of my guys. I think very, very highly of Sheamus. He’s a worker. He’s not one of those guys just looking to be the guy at the top of the card. He’s a soldier. Soldiers normally find their way to the top of the card just for that reason alone.”
Many fans were impressed with Sheamus’ in-ring work during his match against Gunther for the Intercontinental Title at Clash at the Castle. Although The Brawling Brutes member gave it his all, it wasn’t enough to topple the Austrian star.
Despite the loss, The Brawling Brutes still have the chance to win some gold as Ridge Holland and Butch look to take the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships off The Usos on the September 23rd edition of SmackDown.
