Booker T has named Bray Wyatt as a former WWE Superstar he wants to see re-signed to the company, believing he didn’t reach his full potential.
‘The Eater of Worlds’ was cut by WWE last July, having remained a free agent since and staying relatively quiet on what his next move will be in the world of wrestling.
As we await to see what’s next for the real-life Windham Rotunda, he can relish in the fact that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is eager to see him back on the WWE roster. Booker discussed Wyatt’s potential return on his Hall of Fame podcast:
“I probably want to get Bray Wyatt back in the fold. Just because Bray was such an enigma, he was off on his own island, but I feel like so much could have been done with Bray Wyatt that wasn’t and he definitely would be one.”
Wyatt has been a hot topic ever since his release. The former Fiend changed his Twitter bio to hint at a return to the McMahon-fronted promotion, though it’s unclear where he now stands with Vince McMahon now out of the question.
This isn’t the first time Booker T has discussed Bray returning to WWE. He noted on a prior Hall of Fame podcast that the one-time WWE Champion resurfacing in the company wouldn’t surprise him “one bit”:
“Pat McAfee actually mentioned Bray Wyatt on the show last night [WrestleMania Backlash], I don’t know if that’s a precursor, I don’t know if that’s a signal, a spoiler or teaser. But, normally, there’s a method to all the madness.
Like I said, Pat McAfee mentioned Bray Wyatt on the show last night, so we don’t know what’s about to happen. And I’m going to tell you right now, I would not be surprised one bit if Bray Wyatt was to show up in the WWE.”
The return of Bray’s to WWE could come as soon as this weekend’s SummerSlam premium live event. Triple H, WWE’s new Head of Creative, has discussed wanting to make a “creative splash” at the event; Wyatt’s comeback would drastically change the landscape of WWE.
