Booker T Gets Top WWE NXT Star’s Name Wrong In Embarrassing Live Botch

Booker T Explains Absence From WWE NXT Vengeance Day

Booker T botched WWE NXT star’s name during this week’s episode.

This week’s NXT episode at the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas, was opened by WWE Hall of Famer and the brand’s commentator Booker T. During his introduction, he mentioned The Undertaker was present, Ricky Saints will take on Jasper Troy, and more.

However, what got fans talking was the botch he made while introducing Blake Monroe. Instead of introducing The Glamour, the WWE Hall of Famer introduced the former AEW star as “The Glamma Girl, Monica Monroe.”

The confusion may have occurred due to an actual Monica Monroe existing at Booker’s wrestling promotion, Reality of Wrestling, which was also located in Houston. Nicknamed Lady Bird, she is also the brand’s Women’s Tag Team Champion along with Gigi Rey.

Later in the show, Blake Monroe had her first WWE singles match. To ensure no interference took place, NXT General Manager Ava banned Jordynne Grace from entering the building, who was betrayed by the 26-year-old at Evolution.

The match saw The Glamour defeat Wren Sinclair. Grace later managed to fight through security, but Monroe still stood tall after she hit Jordynne with a DDT onto a chair.

The Actual Monica Monroe Responds To Booker T Confusing Her With WWE NXT Star Blake Monroe

Not long after Booker T confused the ROW star with the NXT star, Lady Bird had an entertaining response to the Hall of Famer’s mistake.

On X (Twitter), Lady Bird introduced herself and shared that the NXT commentator must have been thinking about her a lot for mentioning her on the show. Monica also said hi to her “Monroe sister.”

Hi I’m Monica Monroe… living rent free in Booker T’s head. Sending love to my Monroe sister, Blake! #WWENXT”

The NXT star then responded to the Reality of Wrestling star by saying Lady Bird was “cute.”
