Booker T has commented on a major free agent signing with WWE and making their presence felt on NXT.
Following her exit from TNA at the start of the year, it appeared to be inevitable that Jordynne Grace would be joining WWE full-time following on from numerous appearances on NXT in 2024 as part of the talent exchange between the two companies.
Making another surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble, Michael Cole noted on commentary that The Juggernaut was now officially signed to the promotion and would be appearing as a full-time member of the roster.
While many expected to see Grace go to Raw or SmackDown as WrestleMania approaches, the former Knockouts Champion instead made her arrival on NXT, confronting Women’s Champion Giulia and Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer to close out Vengeance Day.
With many fans being surprised by Grace making her return to the developmental brand, so too was Booker T. Speaking about Grace on his Hall of Fame podcast, the NXT announcer admitted that although he was expecting to see Grace on the main roster, he is looking forward to seeing what happens next:
“Back to Vengeance Day. I thought Jordynne Grace was gonna go straight to the main roster, but it looks like she’s gonna be sticking around NXT for a minute. She showed up, looked like her and Stephanie Vaquer may have something. The sky’s the limit for Jordynne Grace, she looks so ready for this moment. I swear to God, she looks so ready for this moment. I’m so, so glad for her to actually have this time to shine.”
